On Thursday, December 29th, Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for a number of major highways in British Columbia.
One of the affected highways is Coquihalla. More than 30 centimeters of snow has been expected between Merrit and Hope. Some vehicles were left temporarily stranded after the highway was shut.
Drivers were told to take care on the roads and ,if all possible, to wait till Friday to travel. Most likely conditions will worsen again on the weekend.
